While we love it when the brain is in its happy place (well-fed, well-slept, unstressed), we're actually really interested in acquired insults that induce quite a number of neurologic temper tantrums: Traumatic Brain Injury, Post-hemorrhagic Hydrocephalus, Sepsis. These insults need treatments beyond the limited, palliative maneuvers that modern medicine currently employs. To this end, we hope that our bench research will one day impact clinical practice ...
